Narumi Amador, LPC, RPT, TF-CBT, Triple P.
Hola!I have always had a passion for connecting with and helping others.I am an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) in the State of South Carolina. My road to becoming a therapist has been quite a journey, but I couldn’t imagine myself doing anything else or loving what I do more. My education includes a Masters degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Psychology from Park University. I am currently pursuing PhD in Developmental Psychology.I have a National Certification in Trauma Focused CBT, and I am currently rostered through MUSC (Medical University of South Carolina). I also hold a certification in Triple p (Positive Parenting Program, Level 4) and I am a National Registered Play Therapist and working on my Play Therapy Supervision certification. I have been trained in Theraplay (Attachment based family play therapy) which I use with children with Reactive Attachment Disorder or any other attachment issues. My years of experience in the field have provided me with the opportunity to work with people of all ages, genders, religions, ethnicity, races, and sexual orientations. I have experience working in client’s homes, medical setting, outpatient treatment centers and in nonprofit organizations. I am especially interested in continuing to continue to work in the area of attachment and parenting and with children and adolescents and their families.
It is my goal to enhance personal empowerment and growth among all of my patients, and I am committed to enhancing that in the Hispanic/Latino population in South Carolina. In the last years, I have dedicated time to support undocumented residents on their path to legal residency and citizenship in this country and completed dozens of immigration psychological evaluations. I am a Trauma-Informed Clinical Counselor who is passionate to work with Hispanics and other diverse cultures, races, communities, and disenfranchised populations. I have also integrated immigration evaluations into my business model. Psychological trauma is my clinical specialty and my passion. This knowledge and love for trauma has become my superpower, especially when completing psychological evaluations. Trauma can change our psyches and our behaviors as we attempt to survive and protect ourselves from any future potential trauma. I am a supporter of immigrants' rights, truly invested in assisting them with their psychological needs.

I work hard to provide a safe, therapeutic environment for my clients so they can start their personal, meaningful journey. During my years providing treatment, I encountered numerous individuals, families, and couples. I worked with my clients' mood disorders, trauma, addictions, relationship issues, anger management,self-esteem, and women’s issues. I also specialize in treating alcohol and other drug issues as a Certified & Master Addictions Counselor.
As a rostered TF-CBT therapist, I help adolescents, ages 4-18 address negative symptoms of traumatic events.. I am also rostered as a facilitator for Prepare & Enrich which focuses on premarital & marital counseling. I live by the motto, "if your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough".
