A number of benefits are available from participating in therapy. Often it is helpful just to know that someone understands. Therapy can provide a fresh perspective on a difficult problem or point you in the direction of a solution. Many people find therapy to be a tremendous asset to managing individual growth, interpersonal relationships, family concerns, and the stressors of daily life. The benefits you obtain from therapy depend on how well you use the process and put into practice what you learn.

We currently, due to COVID, ONLY offer ONLINE (also called "Telehealth", "TeleMental health" or "Telemedicine" using a secure HIPAA compliant platform. See "TeleMental Health" service listed below for more information.

Play Therapy

Play Therapy is child-centered, in which play is the primary intervention tool and speech is the secondary. Play therapy allows the child to manipulate the world on a smaller scale, something that cannot be done in the child's everyday environment.   By playing with specially selected materials, and with the guidance of a person who reacts in a designated manner, the child plays out his/her feelings, bringing these hidden emotions to the surface where he/she can face them and cope with them. The child's inner resources are enabled by the therapeutic alliance to bring about growth and change.
